Refresh: A new beginning, advocating change with a place for you!

The only constant in life is change, some of good and some for less than good. The time has come to re-evaluate our commitment to the church, its ministries, its passion and mission as directed by the Holy Spirit and the denomination of the Free  Methodist  Church   USA.  

The following is a partial list of the Committees and Task Forces identified as our needs: 

Hospitality Committee

Greeters, card ministry (birthday, anniversary, graduation, baptism, funeral, get well), refreshments, donut day, altar flowers. 

Finance Committee

Record and distribute checks, payroll, budget, audit, accounts payable, financial records, giving, Conference reporting, Church Tracker.

Membership Committee

Membership  classes, Alpha, Free Methodist Way, Discipleship classes, record membership and maintain weekly worship attendance.

Outreach Committee

Benevolence funds, social media, promotion, servant events, website, advertising, Vacation Bible School, sign.

Education Committee

Bible studies, Right Now Media, children’s church, trainings, pre- membership and catechism classes, pre-ordination discussion, historical accounts.

Property and Care Committee

Physical plant, yard care, construction, updating, maintenance, landscaping, snow removal, church and parsonage.

Fellowship Committee

Decoration, quilting, celebrations, couples group, scamps, young adults group, youth group, singles group, men and women’s retreats, kitchen monitoring with organization and supply, life skills workshops.

Missions Committee

Mission trips, missionary speakers, mission moments, Bishops Fund and Disaster Relief, sponsorships, ICCM.

Worship Committee

Music selections, equipment purchase, ushers,   communion preparation and replacement, performances, special music, guest speakers, pastoral search and pulpit supply.

Missions

Honduras Ministry

For the past 20 years, Fillmore Free Methodist Church has sent mission teams to Honduras. We partner with “Ministries of Faith”, a ministry for children and families in Azacualpa, Honduras. 

Teams from Fillmore Free Methodist Church has done construction projects, VBS and other kids ministry, and other projects to assist those in need.
